"We trust that you will avoid using harsh language and will refrain from making unsubstantiated allegations against individuals and firms. Your constructive feedback and opinions are very valuable to all of us in the industry. "
Thanks for making us united. United we live; Divided we fall.
Dear Mr.Yogesh Sinha Your view about this service tax is very logical and IFA whose income is less than 10 lakhs in a year should be exempted. It is an injustice to the IFA fraternity. It should be contested in the court of law.But who will bell the cat. Your good offices has explained the remedy of this wrong mechanism but in which way we should proceed.Who will take the initiative to discuss the matter with SEBI as first option and then with Ministry of Finance as second option and if not successful then as a last resort we have to find the solution in the court of law. Will you be kind enough to explain in what way and how things will make progress. I shall be very happy if you kindly throw some light on this.
Sir,i fully support your movements regarding this issue and we all satara team always with FIFA.
Expanding FIFA is ok but i feel FIFA can and should take up the issue of ST even with its present strength and set up. The body can represent to SEBi, MoF as well as FM. FIFA can take up the issue a a body and to further strengthen its efforts it can ask its members to write to SEBI & MoF in their individual capacity also just as i have done( i have mentioned this in my comment already posted here). The representation should be to issue a proper circular to the AMCs and not just publish a newspaper ad as was done recently. The ST already deducted should also be returned.
100% of domestic savings can be channelise to MUTUAL FUND because various funds provide redemption facilities even after 2 days of investment as individual investors needs. As per data shown 3% domestic savings invested in M F. I F As required lot of patience , hardwork and MOTIVATION to meet regularly to small investors. G O I should remove all hardles , which are obstructing our spirits . Levy of 14% service tax on mutual fund distributor having less than 10 lakh annual income is the biggest hardle for the growth of all industries Mutual fund industry directly giving support to all Industries.
I thank all people who registered this and fully support FIFA. Thank you all
Very Goooood idia, FIFA has to work out a easy way, with the convenience of all associations. We are ready. Our Associations at Kanpur U.P. is no profit no loss organization. There should not be any charges to join the platform first. We can not put burden on our members, all ready so many charges are there. Thanks
There is a proverb in Tamil which means if all the people in a village pullup a temple cart it will move. Likewise if all IFAs gave voice that will definitely worksout.
In the matter of unjustified deduction of Service tax from the poor earnings of majority of IFAs, Mr.Viji Venkatramans points for inclusion in the representation are really very nice, valid , valuable and convincing. I urge upon all the Associations join together and make a strong united approach in the welfare of all distributors. I have no doubt that SEBI has to bow to the reasonable demand, as its stand will not stand in Court of law. My sincere thanks to Mr.Viji for his support to the cause of distributors.
FIFA has been registered as a not for profit organisation u/s 25 of The Companies Act, 1956. Any member of the Association is eligible to nominate himself to be a candidate for directorship as per the provisions of section 160 of The Companies Act, 2013. However, it is necessary that the person first has to be a member. FIFA is a pan India body. The Board of Directors of FIFA is constituted of members from across India and also as nominees of Associations.
Dear All IFAs, It is my sincer support to FIFA that steps taken by FIFA is wise and judicious. In my opinion service tax should be deducted from redemption amount of investor by the AMC house and it should be limited to 3.5% of redemption amount (As it is in the case LIC premium payment and thank FIFA and Yogesh sir for their great initiative.
I fully agree with the comments above and we have to come united under one umbrella like FIFA.
Sir,i fully support your views regarding this issue and I am always with FIFA.
I am always with you with all movements.
Great FIFA and Yogesh Sir.. really appreciate the way FIFA has been conducting and communicating with the Regulators and the Administrators. Thank you all for sparing the time and energy for all of us. Requesting everybody to read carefully what Yogesh Sir has said, need not join FIFA, IFAs can join any association which they are comfortable with, all the association are now working under one umbrella "United Front" which has representations from different IFA association.
Brilliant effort. Appreciate the editorial fully. That is the tone and pitch to be used when talking to the finance ministry. Rgds Shriram
This is great Yogesh G, At least we will get some strong platform to discuss some of the very key & important issues there in. We are highly eager to represent our side with a national level representation. Kindly guideline the needful to ensure our presence there....
DEAR FRIENDS. AS POINTED OUT BY MR YOGESH SHRMAJI, ITS VERY CLEAR THAT THERE SHOULD BE ONLY ONE VOICE OF IFAS ALLOVER INDIA. I STRONGLY APPEAL TO ALL ACTIVE IFAS TO REGISTER THEM SELVES WITH THE ASSOCIATION NEAR BY THEM, SO THAT MORE FREQUENT INTERACTION CAN HAPPEN , VIEWS CAN BE SHARED AND THEN REPRESENTED BY RESPECTIVE ASSOCIATION TO THE UNITED FORUM..IN TURN REQUST ALL THE ASSOCIATION TO JOIN UNITED FRONT AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE AND MAKE REGULATORS TO LISTEN ONE VOICE ..
With you on this. A strong body will give a clear line of communication between the partners. Meaningful feedback for the government and confidence for the industry that our interest are being taken care of .
This is with regards to comments on FIFAs constitution, membership, what representations it has made in the past, what programs and events it has done, etc, the same is available on our website www.fifiaindia.org. We have been doing and will continue to do our part for the benefit of the IFA Industry. Would urge everyone to please review all the work FIFA has been doing through contribution by its members in terms of the members own individual time and resources. Though, today, the issue and appeal is not for FIFAs work but for all of us to come together as one voice to make a representation to the Finance Ministry as rightly pointed by Vijay also. One does not need to be part of FIFA to do that, just that the representation needs to be collective. It was for us to make an appeal, it is now for each and everyone of you to make your own informed decision in this matter.
Sir, pl. tell me how to register myself with FIFA ?
Well said. Crisp, Clear and to the point.
SIR, It is like a body makes a mistake of wrongly entering the data of a customer in their records, and when he point out the mistake, ask customer to give a letter saying that this is the mistake , kindly correct it. Why should customer give a letter for correction, which is not his mistake. we are also in the same boat now. However we all coming together is surely A GOOD PROPOSITION, but I think this will again divert the focus and give more time to the law makers. When they know the problem, and brought to their notice, why cant they rectify the same, rather than asking us to come together. If the problem is highlighted by one or thousands of people , will there be any difference?, expect the intensity is more. If the focus is to hand hold the IFAs it would be done, if not all these things would pop up.
I have represented to SEBI about this on their website . Others can also be asked to do this http://www.sebi.gov.in/sebiweb/stpages/contact_us.jsp I have also wrote to Ministry of Finance through their FB page about this and also to the FM on his twitter handle @arunjaitley. If more and more IFAs were to do this SEBI and MoF will take note and take action
Jo kaam 2008 me hona chahiyeta jab pehla decision regarding upfront aaya tha But der aaye durust aaye kyoki aab nahi to kabhi nahi Because there are lots of anti policy or rules are with regulators to make them as law for Individual IFA which directly going to affect small IFA or indirectly going to affect IFA which are earning above 5 lac per annum Think
iam agreed with mr Desuza.Iam working as IFA from last 3 year. But i never received any coresponding from FIFa or any other socalled IFA union.i always come to know them throw wealth fourm or cafemutual like plateforms. Can FIFA directer tell us in brief what they did for IFA in past.I think to influence govt policy we should unite all IFA all over india. Then policy maker come to know how many families depend on mutual fund advisery. For this we should adopt a transparet procedure to elect our representive
Right said by Jayant sinha sir " come together " not alone Because ekta ki shakti me hi jeet hai I m in ...
Unity of IFAs has to be done on war footing now. Plethora of associations has created more confusion. I had long back suggested to form a company of the IFAs and take up distribution of financial products including MF. A special discussion should be opened in all types of media and physically also everyone should be geared up to achieve unity of the IFAs asap.
FIFA please tell us your election process. When was the last election held for the Board, that only a few of you guys represent. Is this Democratic. Just because you have contributed Rs 1 lakh does not mean you can take decisions on all IFA matters. There should be equal representations on your Board for all other IFA associations, only then can an association be successful. Please come with a transparent policy, and have elections to your governing council with each state have a representative and also, that each Board member will not have a term of more than 3 years and maximum 6 years in his working life. Just like US president continuous maximum term 6 years and then compulsory retirement. Do these before thinking of asking IFAs to join your BODY wherein only a handful of chosen few think that you can take decision just because you created FIFA. Sorry GUYs, first you change before asking others to change and join you.
There is no association of ours un mumvai
fantastic news. truly a strong body is the need of the hour. this will be a great relief for so many small ifas whose income in the initial stages will be less than rs 1000 pm.
