Dear Gopal ,MFs are most viable to IFAs - but so far they have been regularly misguided to take the carrot called the upfronts( effectively making their business unstable). Now that the IFAs are realising the potential of pure trail , and are sticking to that and on the other hand that they have the low cost advantage on their side, in the low overall cost regime they will become important. Thats what the CEO explaining in this article.
If mutual funds become less attractive to large distributors, it is already not attractive to IFAs, how the AMCs will sell mutual funds in future? I am just being curious.
